Job Summary

The Corporate Development Manager will lead corporate sponsorship for 110+ Corporate Volunteer Days, 3 major flagship events, and additional partnerships including securing in-kind products and services. The position manages the Corporate Program Coordinator, works in tandem with the Free Arts Day Manager and the Manager of Special Events, and reports to the Executive Director.  

Corporate support for the Free Arts Day program is made up of Free Arts Days and Art Parties. Free Arts Days range in size from 25 to 100 + children age 6-12 each paired with a corporate volunteer for a day of art making and mentoring. Art Parties are for corporate volunteers to prep art materials in a team- building setting. Free Arts is projected to work with 3,000 youth and 3,000 volunteers in 2019.

Free Arts currently works with over 50 corporations through Corporate Social Responsibility Departments, HR Departments, and Marketing Departments. The Corporate Development Manager must be able to set and achieve corporate sponsorship revenue goals and strategically develop mutually beneficial year round opportunities and actionable partnership strategies.  

Responsibilities:

Corporate Volunteer Days

  • Secure $600,000+ in sponsorship for 110+ Corporate Volunteer Days
  • Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate partners
  • Spearhead the creation and fulfillment of customized partnership activation plans for each corporate partner
  • Identify new sources of corporate funding and design creative strategies to secure new sponsors
  • Create pitches and proposals for new and existing corporate partners. Lead pitch meetings and calls with new corporate prospects
  • Negotiate corporate sponsorship agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnership
  • Manage budget and report data to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
  • Communicate with sponsors leading up to and post event
  • Manage the annual calendar of Free Arts Day programs
  • Work with Free Arts Day Manager to modify and develop programs based on sponsor’s requests
  • Attend Free Arts Days and other corporate volunteer events as needed

Events

  • Secure $100,000+ in sponsorship and in-kind support for 3 annual events
  • Work in partnership with Events Manager and Development Associate to research, target, and prepare pitch materials for solicitation
  • Work with Board and Junior Board in their outreach efforts

Other

  • Manage intern
  • Co-manage the Corporate Program Coordinator with the Free Arts Day Manager
  • Work with Program Staff to identify and engage volunteers for new corporate opportunities
  • Support additional programming and events as needed

Skills/Requirements

  • Proven track record with the ability to target leads and secure funding
  • Outstanding oral, interpersonal and written communication with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and efficiently multitask
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and departments
  • Proficiency with Google Apps, Salesforce and Powerpoint
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Free Arts mission
  • 4 years of job experience
