Full-Time FT, Paid Fellowship [Brooklyn, NY]
Applications are now open for the 2019 Fellowship program at Blue Ridge Labs, an incubator in Brooklyn that brings together technologists and communities to explore and build new solutions for low-income New Yorkers. Selected Fellows receive:
- Funding: A full-time stipend, health insurance reimbursement, and research budget
- Cofounders: A cohort of talented peers with complementary skills
- Access: The chance to connect with hundreds of users and experts through our Design Insight Group and community partners
- Community: Office space and a community of high-impact startups, mentors, and funders
We’re looking for amazing engineers, designers, product managers, and experts who are excited to dig into the messy process of exploring community pain points and building new tech to address them.
The Fellowship will run from June early to October 2019, and is a full-time, paid opportunity during those months. Applications are due March 1!
This year, we are focusing the barriers low-income New Yorkers face in finding, acquiring, and retaining high-quality, affordable housing. As the gap between supply and demand for housing continues to grow, low-income families are hit the hardest by rising rents and falling vacancy rates, leading to financial instability and – in many cases – homelessness.
About the Labs: Blue Ridge Labs, part of Robin Hood, specializes in finding new ways to use technology to improve the lives of low-income New Yorkers. We help entrepreneurs work alongside communities to start and grow tech-enabled social ventures
