Flocabulary is a rapidly growing edtech company that uses music to drive student achievement and foster a love of learning. Students in more than 20,000 schools use our rap songs, videos, and interactive learning tools to master academic content, increase engagement and build vocabulary.We are looking for an Operations and Partnerships Intern to support our Operations team on various programs and tasks. This position is based in our office in Brooklyn, though some remote work may be possible depending on projects. This is a six-month role, and we’d be looking for this intern to work 20 – 30 hours per week. The operations intern will report to our Senior Manager of Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives.


You have excellent customer service skills. You are friendly, ready to work with teachers and administrators, and can empathize with their busy schedules. Experience with K12 professional preferred but not required. You are a great communicator – and can engage professionally on the phone, in person, or in writing with people across and throughout the organization and externally. You are organized – and can manage multiple projects simultaneously and are a pro at managing schedules. You’re detail-oriented (you’re i-dotting, and t-crossing, and get math right when tabulating a lot of results) and a resourceful researcher.



  • Flocab Community Schools:
    • Support P&SI Manager in developing regular (monthly) communications with school contacts as well as one-off communication as needed
    • Management of school visit & office visit calendars
    • Support and scheduling of staff involvement in school visit & office visit programs and other volunteer opportunities with the school
    • Develop and administer internal and external communications for these opportunities
  • Donation program:
    • Aggregate data for quarterly DonorsChoose and GoFundMe donations
    • Help manage employee involvement with quarterly DonorsChoose and GoFundMe donations
    • Support Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives (P&SI) Manager as needed for communications with partners (may include scheduling, data reporting, etc.)


  • Organize press hits documentation and keep press page up to date
  • Support for organization and editing of internal documentation (including staff toolbox, org charts, etc.)
  • Monitor incidences of piracy and manage necessary complaint processes


  • Assist the People & Culture Manager during office special events. Examples may include, but are not limited to monthly catered lunches, stocking weekly snacks, and setup of birthday celebrations
  • Assist the People & Culture Manager with group travel booking
  • Assist across teams to manage company merchandise (swag) inventory and make shipments for events as needed


  • Currently enrolled in a two or four year college degree program
  • Prior office or education experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) strongly preferred
