Temporary Web Intern

Amplifier – Posted by zoebarthwerbNew York, New York, United States

Job Description

Amplifier is a network of giving circles inspired by Jewish values. We are in the midst of a website redesign and are seeking someone to provide extra support as we go through this transition. The project pays $20/hour and is estimated to take 150-200 hours. This opportunity will begin with an in-person orientation and training with our staff in our offices in Manhattan and can be completed through a combination of in-office and remote work.

Project Description
In our efforts to connect innovative organizations to potential funding from giving circles, we need someone to help us optimize Amplifier’s online presence, including our Organization Directory and blog. We are looking for someone with excellent copyediting skills, keen attention to detail, a good eye for design and an interest in learning about a diverse collection of Jewish and secular nonprofit organizations. This person will join us part-time over the next few months to enter the content of our blog into our new content management system (CMS) and conduct an inventory “scan” of our organization directory (over 1,000 entries). You’ll work directly with organizations to improve and update their profiles, and identify giving circle grants that we have not yet entered into our database. This project provides a rare encounter with a broad range of nonprofit organizations, and an access point to the exciting philanthropic trend of giving circles, a growing movement in the United States and around the world.
